Researching the family lines always leads to more questions. To this day I still search for the elusive Henry Hawkins who has come up in many a family conversation, yet none of us still living seem to know who he was except that he was in grandaddy's father's side of the family. At one point, we thought he was James Leonard Hawkins' daddy, and later discovered that wasn't so.

Our most recent brickwall for the Hawkins' side of the family is the parent's of John Hawkins, Sr. On the Howle side, who are the parents of Epaphroditus  Howle? Other questions I've had are: It's rumored that we have Cherokee blood. Does that mean we are somehow linked to the Hawkins' in the Tennessee, Kentucky area? We are supposedly also linked to Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett in some way. And then there is the number one query that most Hawkins' researchers ask: Are we related to the famous Sir John Hawkins?

If you have found yourself at this section, then you must have questions as well, or even an answer. I hope you will share either or both questions and answers.

Everyone has questions, especially while researching the family tree.

I may have it wrong, but I believe it was Socrates who taught his students by answering questions with a question. That's how I feel every time I discover something new, that might or might not be family related.

Questions, Questions, Questions is the section dedicated to the Hawkins' side of the family.

Who? Who? Who? You guessed it, are questions that have come up while investigating the Howle side of the family.

I'm sure you have your own questions. Perhaps you will be asking me, or maybe you just need to see that question in written form, hoping it leads you somewhere.

Who knows! You might even have an answer.
